Municipal Sales Representative


As a Municipal Sales Representative with BBA Pumps North America, we will work as a team to drive your creative ambition with the primary focus to increase our municipal sales. This is an active selling position which requires engagement within our team, along with producing positive sales results. We will work with you to increase the overall sales within local Government, Federal, Distributors, and various end-users. The Municipal Sales Representative will be responsible for aggressively pursuing & winning profitable business by doing good business with good people and good companies.

  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key decision makers at municipalities, government agencies, and distributors,
  • Promote BBA Pumps products through sales calls and presentations both in person and Teams,
  • Travel within assigned territory (as needed), 
  • Excel in developing and executing plans and goals,
  • Identify customer needs and recommend proper product solutions,
  • Actively utilize the company CRM,
  • Communicate with customers via email, telephone, and text messaging,
  • Respond to customers and the team within 1-hour,
  • Participate in daily sales calls and provide pertinent updates to the team,
  • Be meticulous with the ability to multi-task, communicate clearly, and work well in a team environment,
  • Perform these responsibilities with an upbeat, high energy, and positive attitude.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a previous sales position selling to local Government agencies,
  • Minimum of 2 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience,
  • Must be confident making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls, to include cold & warm calls,
  • Clearly communicate daily as required with the BBA Pumps team,
  • Proven track record in sales,
  • Must be a well-organized, meticulous self-starter with the ability to work independently,
  • Maintain a neat and clean workspace,
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management,
  • Reports daily to the North Charleston, SC office,
  • A valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
