Warehouse Assistant

in North Charleston, SC.

Overview of Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following; organizing the warehouse & yard, operating fork lifts to load & unload trucks, packaging parts & supplies for shipment, fulfilling customer orders, preparing pumps, piping & couplings for shipment, maintaining a clean working environment, assisting the BBA Team as needed around the warehouse, office & yard, and completing daily paperwork as required.
  • Communicates daily with the administrative and operations team;
  • Prepare, load and unload equipment, inventory and customer orders;
  • Participates in after-hours and emergency response efforts, as required;
  • Ensures a safe working environment while working within all company and legal safety policies & procedures;
  • May be responsible for other tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

  • Produce professional levels of work that are accurate and complete;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are a must;
  • Knowledge of the construction industry / equipment rental industry is a plus;
  • Strong telephone skills;
  • Customer service aptitude;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Understands time is of the essence;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong, positive, can-do attitude;
  • 2 years experience in similar position with a High School diploma required;
  • Lift, bend, stoop, squat, crouch and kneel, and sit or stand for long periods of time;
  • Must be physically able to work on a jobsite and / or warehouse environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to 75lbs, bending, squatting, crouching and reaching;
  • Ensure on-going compliance with all safety protocols;
  • Mechanical aptitude; preferably in a customer-focused environment;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Valid driver’s license and must pass background like MVR, drug and reference checks.
